Ebba Bergkvist is a songwriter and producer from Stockholm, Sweden who’s recently finished her two year music production education in Piteå, Sweden. In January 18 (2019), she released her 5-song EP “Alright” featuring songs like “How Bad” and “Summer House By The Sea”. A bluesrock mixtape with hints of country and western. Bergkvist wrote, recorded and produced the songs by herself, with the assistance of her band and fellow students. "(...) an EP full of heavy blues rock with influences from ex Rival Sons and Led Zeppelin. A professional work." (GAFFA) Since the release, Bergkvist has frequently been playing live gigs and recording new music, promising a full length-album next year. Bergkvist started writing songs at age 12, following the steps of her biggest idol at that time, Taylor Swift. She says that Swift still is a great inspiration to her, even though they’re not in the same genre. Besides Swift, Bergkvist takes inspiration from older blues like Robert Johnson, Memphis Minnie and Rev. Gary Davis, alongside with Led Zeppelin and more modern Rival Sons. The artist herself about her songwriting: “what’s important when I make a song is the energy and the feeling, not the lyrics or that the band plays everything right every single time”.
