FAQ – PERFORMING ACTS
What is a showcase Festival?
Our friends over at gigmit.com have written a great article about Showcase Festivals and how to approach them.
Are we guaranteed to meet people from the music industry?
No, there are no guarantees – but there are things you can do to increase the chances of hooking up with music industry people.
Our PRO TIP is to be as prepared as you possibly can be; Check out the list of delegates who will attend the festival. Are there any people on there that you’d really like to interact with? Email them, introduce yourself, invite them to come watch you play or try to set up a meeting with them on site.
The more you interact – the more people will see you.
It’s a good idea to be available and on site for all days, to play as many shows as you possibly can to create a buzz, as well as attending the conference & the industry mingles.
Remember – No one likes spam. When you’re approaching someone, do it in a nice way & use your common sense.

Where can we park our vehicle?
We do not have any official festival parking facilities. There are plenty of parking options throughout the city – where you’ll need a parking ticket to park your vehicle.
We recommend everyone to take the train to Örebro. It is a small town with walking distances between the train station, the hotels, the venues and the festival office. Read more on Travel and Accommodation.
Can we sell MERCH at the venues where we are playing?
We recommend everyone to bring and sell merch. Nor Live at Heart or the festival venues take any fee or percentage of sales.
Can Live at Heart help us with accommodation?
We have collaborations with a number of hotels in town, where artists have special discounts during the festival week. As a performing act, you’ve receive discount codes in your information emails.
We can't travel with instruments, can you provide this for us?
Basically, No.
Each performing act is responsible for making their own show possible to pull through.
Live at Heart provides backline on every stage but WE DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INSTRUMENTS OR BREAKABLES at all.
Our technical specifications have changed since we were booked. Where can we send an updated tech spec?
No worries, please send the updated version to [contact@liveatheart.se].
We’ll sort it out and get back to you to make sure everything is in order.
We forgot to notify you about our touring crew. Can we add them to our party?
Yes. You can search individual Industry accreditation for each member of the touring crew.
Each accreditation application will then be reviewed individually. We can’t give any guarantees that everyone will be approved but there are normally no problems as long as you provide us with the correct information in good time ahead of the festival.

Where's the delegate check in?
All delegates will check in at the Festival Office.

Where's the delegate lounge?
… We don’t have an official delegates lounge but you will definitely get noticed aout some awesome Mingles as well as invitations to special events.
Can I access the delegate list?
We have two types of delegates visiting Live at Heart.
- Delegates with a free accreditation.
- Delegates with a paid accreditation.
You’ll be able to access the complete delegate list with the paid accreditation.
Will there be any mingles?
Yes. We always provide business mingles of different sorts for the attending delegates and artists. The mingles will be presented ahead of the festival, to delegate attendees only.
Can I showcase music from my company?
We love great and interesting music. If you sit on a treasure chest and would like to present it at Live at Heart – give us a shout immediately!
Where's the after party?
Don’t worry. If you’re in our delegate list then you’ll find out.
Do I need to carry the badge?
Not at all times.
You need it when you’re going to access Live at Heart Creative Business Music (wed 11/9) as well as other conference points. You also need to show it to get in to the mingles and special events.
… Other than that, you’re all good with your wristband.
… but what’s the deal with hanging out at a showcase festival with loads of interesting people if no one knows who you are or where you’re from? The badge is a simple tool for connecting and networking.
I just started my company, can I attend as a delegate?
Size, number of employees or economical assets don’t really matter to us. We care about music. So the answer is yes, please apply for accreditation.
FAQ – VISITORS
I ́ve heard that you get a festival pass if you work as a volunteer for one evening. Where can I sign up?
Get in touch with [contact@liveatheart.se] and we’ll walk you through the process.
We’ll also be advertising on social media in search for volunteers closer to the date of the festival so keep your eyes open.
I'm in a wheelchair, can I access every venue?
Live at Heart is held on several different venues and facilities but the doorstep wont be an obstacle to experience great live music.
We always recommend wheelchair users to contact the venues to ensure they can prepare the best possible seats, since each venue have different environments and premises
Can I bring my daughter, who is underage?
All DAYPARTY scenes are ALL AGE and FREE ENTRANCE.
Each showcase venue have their own age limits – they may differ due to each venues own regulations.
I have bought a ticket, do I have to change it for a wristband?
Yes, your ticket must be exchanged for a wristband to be valid throughout the whole festival.
This can be done at the official festival ticket office.

Do I save cash buying a festival pass instead of separate day tickets?
Short answer; Yes.
… its a fact, more or less.
Can I upgrade my one day ticket to a full festival ticket?
For sure! Visit the festival office, and we’ll sort it out!
We’re open to 22.00 (10pm) during the whole festival.

I just want to go see one band, can I buy a ticket at the door?
… but why just one concert? Honestly… There are so many great bands to see!
– We use SWISH for special occasions only. During Live at Heart 15 year jubilee, these special occasions are:

- ABF Red Stage, Friday 13/9
- Live at Heart 15 Years – Nostalgia Celebration Stage, COCO THAI, Saturday 13/9
I'm sick and can't go. Can I get a refund?

Can I create my own programme?
Yes. You can mark your own favorites at program.liveatheart.se to build your own personalized program.
We’ll also have a printed program for sale (pay the amount you think its worth!) for the 15 year anniversary. Get your hands on it!
Will there be printed programmes this year?
Well, we try to cut down on paper waste – which is one task in our work of trying to be an environmental friendly festival.
… but since it is our 15 year anniversary, we would very much like to have a physical paper in our hands, to be able to save it and add it to our collection.
A paper program will be for sale at the Festival Office – pay the amount you think its worth!
At what time does the concerts start?
The showcase shows normally start at 6 to 7pm (18.00/19.00) every day but there will also be loads of earlier concerts as a part of Live at Heart DAYPARTY. There will also be a couple of special events in the program that have other starting times. Keep your eyes open while you checkout the schedule – the special events are definitely worth checking out!
The DAYPARTY shows are free for all, spread through the whole city and during daytime only (until 5pm (17.00), before the showcases start on the official festival stages.
Can I grab some food and some drinks during the festival?
For sure. All venues that have the age limit of +18 will serve snacks, food and drinks.
