Ane Brun: An enticing Diasert (2018)
Ane, an artist and songwriter with eleven released albums since her debut in 2003, has a large and devoted following in Scandinavia, as well as growing popularity in Europe, North America, and Australia where she has toured. In addition to her solo performances, Ane has collaborated with various artists such as Ron Sexsmith, Tonbruket, Madrugada, and Peter Gabriel. Her acclaimed and Grammy-nominated album “Leave me breathless” was released last year. Ane participated in Live at Heart to present her own diasert, a format combining dialogue and concert, where artists perform in a stripped-down setting and share stories about life and music.
Winchester Widowmakers: A Musical Force Unleashed (2010)
Among the stellar lineup set to grace our stage, the Winchester Widowmakers stand out as a musical force to be reckoned with. Known for their electrifying performances and genre-blurring sound, this dynamic group has been making waves in the music scene. With a unique blend of rock, blues, and soul, the Winchester Widowmakers are sure to captivate the audience and leave an indelible mark.
Meadows: Blossoming Melodies and Artistic Brilliance
Another gem in our lineup is the enchanting Meadows, a musician that effortlessly weaves together lush melodies and artistic brilliance. Over the years, Meadows has carved a niche for themselves, earning acclaim for his ethereal soundscapes and introspective lyrics. Audiences can expect to be transported to a world of musical enchantment as Meadows takes the stage, adding a touch of magic to our milestone celebration… and he’s played for EVERY YEAR of this festival’s existence!
Israel Nash Gripka’s Neil Young-inspired Resonance (2011):
In 2011, the echoes of Israel Nash Gripka’s closing chords resonated through the festival grounds, marking a pivotal moment in Örebro’s rock history. The (back then) new rising star, accompanied by his three-piece band, left an indelible impression with their performance, particularly in the Neil Young & Crazy Horse-inspired anthem “Baltimore.” The crowd lingered, minutes past schedule, as the realization dawned that something significant and momentous had occurred in the vibrant rock tapestry of Örebro.
Lolita Pop’s Unforgettable night (2019):
Fast forward to 2019, and the festival experienced another unforgettable chapter with the dynamic presence of Lolita Pop. Attendees bore witness to a band that transcended the confines of a single concert evening. The energy exuded by the dancing Karin Wistrand and the occasionally bouncing and smiling Sten Booberg, the guitarist, was envy-inducing in every detail. The entire ensemble, including the visually understated yet sonically integral guitar of Benkt Söderberg, contributed to an impressively cohesive and awe-inspiring performance. Lolita Pop left an enduring mark on our festival, proving that their musical legacy extends far beyond the confines of a single night.
