Ami Ekström is a part of the Live at Heart Pitch Jury. From January 7 2019, Ami Ekström started working as an consultant for short films and new formats at the Swedish Film Institute. She previously worked at Film i Väst for almost 10 years at different positions. Most recently, she was senior executive co-productions, where she was responsible for short and documentary films and was part of the production group for Film i Väst. Ami has been a member of the steering committee for the Swedish Film Institute's and SVT's Moving Sweden initiative and also worked with the selection for Uppsala's talent days and driven the talent program The Hub. Ami has been a co-producer for several of the most acclaimed short and documentary films of recent years: Kasper Collins I Called Him Morgan, You Are Teddybears by John Boisen and Björn Fävremark, multiple festival-awarded short film Hopptornet and Guldbagge nominee Studio 5, both by Axel Danielson and Maximilien Van Aertryck, and Niki Lindroth von Bahr's Guldbagge Winner Min Börda. Most recently, we have also been able to see Jerry Carlsson's Skuggdjur who won awards in Clermont-Ferrand and a number of other international film festivals, and Carl Javér's Guldbagge winner documentary Rekonstruktion Utøya. Ami Ekström has also been a co-producer for the audience successes Den blomstertid nu kommer from Crazy Pictures and Tårtgeneralen by Filip Hammar and Fredrik Wikingsson.
