Light Screamer (SE)
Noise rock / post-punk band Light Screamer are well-known for their intense and chaotic live shows, something that led them to SXSW in 2013 and 2014, and a record deal with Austin label Australian Cattle God Records for their debut album, Gauss. They released their follow-up, Switch, on the legendary Örebro label Zorch Productions. Light Screamer’s releases and live shows have gotten excellent reviews, and musicians such as Paul Leary (Butthole Surfers) and Brett Bradford (Scratch Acid) have been praising the band. Slavestate magazine awarded Light Screamer with best live performance in both 2015 and 2019.
In June 2020, Light Screamer released their third album Reap – the follow-up to their critically acclaimed forerunners Gauss and Switch. Reap combines chaos, order, beauty, ugliness, noise, harmony, anger and calm in a ride that takes you through ten very different songs that make up a larger whole. Brett Bradford (Scratch Acid) has contributed with his unique guitar performance on the track Dawn. The award-winning Austin artist, Win Wallace, has created the cover as a graphical interpretation of the album.
