Despite her young age, Sarah von Reis has had a long journey in the music industry as a member of the pop sensation Dolly Style, breaking up with them because she was "too political" and making a documentary film about the experience as well as trips back and forth to Los Angeles. Her elegant cool style, which places itself between Fiona Apple and Billie Eilish, has already spread in the tastemaker media before the debut, praised by Fredrik Strage in TV4, highlighted in New Music Friday and several major official playlists on Spotify and Apple Music.
As an outspoken, fearless, strong and openly lesbian, she is already a role model for young people.
On March 31, after two acclaimed singles, Sarah von Reis' debut EP 'Melancholia High Season' was released. The four atmospheric, melodious and modern songs place themselves in the top tier of new Swedish pop. Addictive melodies, elegant productions and a dose of Nordic melancholy are a common theme of the debut EP, tied together by her velvety vocals. The cast list is impressive with two tracks written with pop queen Maja Francis and produced by Andreas »HYENA« Söderlund and a song written with Ingrid Witt and Andreas Buddee (Olivia Lobato, Isle of You and others).
In September, the single and queer anthem "Phenomenon" will be released, which mixes von Reis's mysterious pop with psychedelic guitars and seductive bass clarinet.
