Karl Knut Sigurd

Karl Knut Sigurd is energetic indie rock with melodic guitars and infectious choruses. Since the indie project started, two EPs and a double single have seen the light of day, but this spring the debut album "It Goes Right In As Fast As It Goes Out" will be released. The music has been praised by various music magazines and compared to bands such as The Strokes, Broder Daniel and Hurula. Ville Isakson Jonsson, as his real name is, combined his middle names and started the whole thing as a one-man project. When the plague subsided, he entered the live stage for the first time and then in the form of a quintet. Karl Knut Sigurd has since played a few acclaimed gigs in Umeå but also in Uppsala and Stockholm. What differs this time from previous releases is that the debut album is recorded in the form that Karl Knut Sigurd does best - that is, live. Thus, the project changed form from a one-man band to a quintet. A taster from the album was released on Friday 24/3 in the form of the single "Stuck", which could be described as a slap in the face. In connection with the release of the debut album in May, a small mini-tour awaits, where Karl Knut Sigurd will visit Umeå, Östersund, Stockholm and Uppsala.
