Jättedam

Jättedam became a band when Jonathan Källstedt, Christoffer Norén, Johanna björnler and Madeleine Jonsson started playing together in 2013. We added a couple of members to test some different ideas about what we could do with music that didn't resemble the music that we'd played up until then, which was more punk and rock oriented. We later moved to Gothenburg to continue play live and try new ideas. On the second album the then Editor-in-Chief Daniel horn at Gaffa wrote in his review of the self-produced record: "this is the most interesting Swedish psychedelic rock right now." The record was called ”eftersom ingen frågade” and was released in November 2018. We then spent a large part of 2019 gigging as the record received good attention. We played support act for Baby Grandmothers, Kebnekajse, Slowgold,Mikael Ramel, Torkel rasmussen, Orkan, for example. We were invited to the garage project in Hammenhög by Camilla backman and Magnus Svenningson (The Cardigans) to play. When the summer of 2019 was over, we were completely done because we had had 3 intense years behind us and just then the pandemic came.
