The countdown to Live at Heart 2018 has begun, here’s what’s new!
The countdown to Live at Heart has officially begun. Here’s whats new!
Live at Heart is Scandinavia’s biggest showcase festival and industry conference within music, film and entrepreneurship. This year, the event is more international than ever. For example, Live at Heart is now part of INES (International Network of European Showcases). We’ve also recruited new people who brings new visions and energy to the Live at Heart team.
INES brings Live at Heart to Europe, and Europe to Live at Heart
Showcase festivals, like Live at Heart, are national music industry events that provide a platform for artist discovery, business networking and education. They combine live music performances, conference programmes and trade shows. This makes them the innovation hubs of the music industry. Whether it’s about artist discovery, professional education or capacity building, it all happens there. By connecting those hubs, INES will create a united and strong European music market.
The Live at Heart team is expanding
Silvia Sardeira, International Coordinator, and Peter Åstedt, Senior Advisor, are the newest members of the Live at Heart team. They are both experienced within the music industry, having worked with managament, festivals, artist coaching and production.
– My ambition is to focus a lot on our international exchanges within the INES-project. I’m really looking forward to working with our partner festivals and giving our artists the opportunity to bring their music abroad, says Silvia Sardeira.
Live at Heart Creative
The new section Live at Heart Creative is all about entrepreneurship and tech. The program will feature a Startup Pitch day, a hackaton and much more. Live at Heart Creative is a collaboration between Live at Heart, Creative House, Handelskammaren Mälardalen, Örebro universitet, STHLM Music city and Näringsdepartementet.
The film section expands
Daniel Lundsten, Live at Heart Film Director, tells us more about this years film section.
– This year, we will offer a larger meeting place and more seminars for filmmakers and the film industry. The concepts “Work in Progress” and “Live at Heart Film pitch” will be great opportunities for filmmakers to launch their projects.
