Live at Heart is pledging 50:50 by 2022

Mar 8, 2018

Live at Heart is joining the Keychange initiative, empowering women to transform the future of the music industry. By pledging to achieve a 50:50 balance between female and male acts in the festival program by 2022 – or sooner, we are hoping to help accelerate a much needed change in the industry.

– Live at Heart is happy and proud to be part of the Keychange initiative, to create equal opportunities for the stars of tomorrow – regardless of their gender. Female artists are still being marginalized in the music industry. This is unacceptable, and though we find it outrageous, we are of course recognizing our own part in the problem. But from now on, we are taking a stand. Pledging to achieve a 50:50 balance between female and male acts at our festival is the least we can do to empower and support all female musicians today and tomorrow, and we hope that the whole industry will follow in this great movement, says Åke Lundström, CEO of Live at Heart.
