LULA (SE)

Garage band from Sweden, fronted by Australian Jake Farrugia who started the band when his passport expired and got stuck in Sweden, he found Björn Trägårdh, David Hägelstam and Ramus Birgersson who helped him transfer his restlessness, anxiety and frustration into pop music. LULA debuted in 2017 with their single 'U know I don't' on myspace, crashed the Swedish radio house with a show of 1.5 songs in celebration of their third single 'Bright Eyes' and proclaimed POP TERROR, which also got to be the name of their first EP released the 31st of January 2019. LULA are rough around the edges, because life isn't all sunshine and rainbows, it's pop music laid dormant, resurrected for a generation hungry; not for nostalgia, but for substance and energy in an apathetic world. Setting to tour and gain the experience of a phenomenally charming live band who are genuinely ‘’being themselves’’ rather than buying into any rockstar impersonator trip, gaining a name for themselves, but also a reputation in their hometown of Stockholm, LULA has played around Sweden and acting support for Richie Ramone, The Primitives and embarked to Germany the fall 2018 for the first time to play at Affentanz festival and Neue Liebe club in Berlin.
